As a Collaborative Divorce Coach and licensed and trained mental health professional, I can be a valuable resource to divorcing couples. I can assist individuals and families in the negotiations of their lives going forward, as well as settling anxieties that are common during separation and divorce. By assisting individuals and couples to divorce more creatively and more cooperatively, the goal is a restructuring of the family unit so as to maintain and build the best possible relationships going forward.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s degree from Boston University. I am a Certified Family Financial Mediator and am trained in Collaborative Divorce.
I have worked as a therapist for 15+ years in a variety of settings with different populations. My experience and skills are best suited to working with adults in short term individual counseling, couples counseling and relationship and divorce coaching with a solution-oriented approach to addressing challenges through the use of my client’s innate skills and resources, working from a strengths perspective.
As a divorce coach I partner with clients and their attorneys to help clients process their feelings such as anger, fear, loss and grief common in those facing the end of their marriage. I spend time preparing clients for how to effectively enter into negotiations, help them prioritize their goals and assist them in understanding how to prepare for the process and develop realistic expectations for possible outcomes.
My approach is to support my clients in a non-judgmental way to help them determine what is best for them, their relationship and their family. Together we uncover their thoughts and feelings about the relationship, identify their needs and take a realistic look at the potential consequences of any decision they make, ensuring they have accurate information.
