Claire J. Samuels

James, McElroy & Diehl, PA

Claire Samuels joined James, McElroy & Diehl in 2007 and became a partner in the firm in 2012. Claire is a family law lawyer and her primary practice areas involve child custody, child support, spousal support and equitable distribution.  She is also a certified Collaborative Law Attorney and a member of the Mecklenburg County Collaborative Law Practice Group.  Claire serves on the board of the Charlotte Women’s Bar and is the Vice-Chair of the Family Law Section of the Mecklenburg County Bar.

Claire is committed to raising awareness and putting an end to domestic violence.  In 2014, she served on the task force of the eNOugh Campaign to End Domestic Violence in North Carolina.  She also regularly volunteers for the Safe Alliance Legal Representation Project to help clients obtain Domestic Violence Restraining Orders.  Currently, Claire is working with a committee to plan the first annual Women of Courage Luncheon to benefit the Jamie Kimble Foundation for Courage.    Claire enjoys spending time with her family and friends, running and practicing yoga.
